A note on “Perceiving our environment” The geography of Spirit workshops:
Very often we experiencerealitypassively, we take it for granted whether welike itor not. Ifwe realize that realityis amanifestationof natural cultural and mental forces which continuously act on the forms we perceive,if we pay attention to the way in which we interact with our environment,if we associate memory and imaginationwith experience, we will be able to establish adeeper relationship with the world andbecome awarethat we are part of a complex alchemy of factors in which there is no dichotomy between reality and ourselves. Things willspeak to us if we are able to speak with them. Only by establishinga dialogue with the things around uswill we be able to locate ourselves on the map of our world.
